Started by a tradie who couldn’t get the quotes out fast enough.
Sammy is an AI quoting app for tradies, launched in Melbourne in January 2026. It was started by Krishna Pryor, a tradie of more than 25 years, and Jared Korinko, to get quotes out the door without the nights and weekends of admin.
Why we built Sammy
I started in construction over 25 years ago, and I have the scars to prove it. I was working out of my ’78 Ford Laser when I first got started, trying to make it work.
I’d squeeze in three site visits a week. The details were scribbled in my diary on the dashboard and on scraps of paper, buried with a heap of site photos on my phone. The sun would go down and the real work would start: getting it all into a massive Excel file and a Word template.
I tried some software I barely understood. It was rigid and clunky, and small changes took forever when clients asked for them. I knew how to do good work. My customers were happy. But I physically couldn’t get the quotes out fast enough.
