How a quote gets priced
In Tradify, you price the job. You set up a price list, import your suppliers’ price files, save templates and kits for the work you do often, and put each quote together from them. Tradify’s AI tools help with the paperwork around it: reading bills from a photo, fixing spelling and writing descriptions for your line items. On Tradify’s Australian site we found nothing that prices a job from a description, photos or plans.
In Sammy, you describe the job and he prices it. He works from, in this order:
- your rate rules, the rates you’ve told him to charge
- your supplier price lists, matched to material lines automatically
- your instructions, such as allowances you always add or brands you prefer
- his Australian trade knowledge, only where you haven’t given him anything better
Train him on a job or two you’ve done and he learns your labour, your rates and what you always include. Every line is on the estimate for you to check before it goes out, and you can change any of it yourself or just tell Sammy what to change.
What it costs
Tradify is cheaper per month. It charges per person, and you need its Pro plan for clients to accept quotes online and its Plus plan for its AI tools. Sammy charges one flat price for up to 3 or up to 5 people, and every paid plan includes the AI that writes the quote.

Does Tradify have AI quoting?
Tradify’s SmartTools, on its Plus plan, read bills from a photo, fix spelling and write descriptions from your line items. As of 27 September 2026, pricing the job itself still comes from your own price list. Sammy writes and prices the whole estimate from a voice note, text, photos or plans.
Can I use Sammy and Tradify together?
There’s no direct connection between them, so you’d quote in Sammy and set the job up in Tradify by hand. If you want scheduling that talks to your quotes, Sammy connects both ways with ServiceM8 and pushes quotes into Simpro.
Is Sammy priced per user?
No. Pro is $99 a month for one person. Team 3 is $249 a month for up to three people and Team 5 is $399 a month for up to five, whether you’ve filled every seat or not. All prices include GST. See team plans and billing.
Does Sammy do scheduling or timesheets?
Not for your crew. Sammy builds a project plan for each job, a timeline of its tasks, but he doesn’t schedule staff, dispatch or track timesheets. He does the quote and the money side of the job: the contract, variations, progress claims, job costs and invoices, synced with Xero.
